Josh Manning made another 1st XI half century, but it wasn't enough.

ST KILDA’S faltering finals aspirations may have finally been ground into the dust on a flat wicket at Geelong on Sunday.

The Saints, having set the home side the sizeable task of bettering 9-272dec, were unable to make serious inroads into the Cats’ batting order and Geelong eased to 4-273 off 79.5 overs.

“I thought we had enough runs to be honest, especially if we’d bowled well in the first hour,” said St Kilda coach Glenn Lalor of the Saturday-Sunday fixture.
